Monthly batch
A monthly batch is the reporting container for a brand's measurement: the weekly pool runs that collect into one period, and the unit compared month to month. Weekly values exist as a series inside the batch, but the batch is what a trend gets built from.
Why the batch rather than the week
A week is a partial view. Some runs are thinner than others, and a week that happened to cover fewer prompts is not comparable to a full one. Comparing batches keeps the composition stable, so a change reflects the market rather than which questions happened to run.
Reading the weekly series
The within-month points are useful for spotting something sudden, not for calling a trend. Thin runs are excluded from the line rather than plotted as a dip that never happened.
